Trastevere

From the Airport/Termini station

  • Train: The fastest and cheapest way to get to Marco Polo House is by train in the direction of Roma Ostiense station, from there it’s only 3 minutes on foot.
  • Metro: Piramide metro station is 5 minutes away on foot.
  • Taxi: maximum 30 minutes away (see taxis section)

Public Transport

  • Metro: The fastest way to get around. Lines A, B, and C cover major attractions.
  • Buses and Trams: Ideal for reaching areas not covered by the metro, such as Trastevere.
  • Tips: Purchase a Roma Pass or a daily ticket for unlimited travel.

Walking

Rome is best explored on foot, especially the historic center. Wear comfortable shoes as cobblestone streets can be tough on your feet.

Bike and Scooter Rentals

  • Perfect for adventurous travelers. Vespa or electric scooters are widely available. Look for vespa or bike tourist tour.
  • Tips: Be cautious in busy traffic and stick to bike lanes where available.

Taxis and Rideshares​

  • Use authorized taxis from taxi ranks (the nearest is in front of metro Piramide or Ostiense Station, 5 minutes on foot) or book rides via apps like: FreeNow, Uber, itTaxi.
